Team Virage competed its second European Le Mans Series round – the first under its own name – on the track of Silverstone at the middle of the month.
Henning Enqvist and Jake Rattenbury were the two Silver drivers of the car number 34, and were joined by another local racer, JM Littman, who was the team’s Bronze driver for this event.Jake Rattenbury qualified the car on saturday, scoring the 17th fastest lap time and putting the car in 9th row on the LMP3 grid. At the start, Rattenbury gained a few positions and was fighting in 13th place until the end of the first hour. After pitting in, he let the drive to JM Littman, whose pace was immediately stopped by a Full Course Yellow. The Brit suffered a spin in the early stages of his first run and went down to P15. At the end of his double stint, he let the car to Henning Enqvist who had the task to bring the car to the chequered flag.
The Swede, at his 4th ELMS career start, managed to drive in competitive lap times despite a misfunctioning clutch, and brought the Ligier-Nissan nº34 in 15th place at the finish.
